The Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar, launched in 2015, is Audemars Piguet's most ambitious creation yet, combining the traditional technology that has produced perpetual calendars since 1875 with the innovation of the Royal Oak, designed by the genius watch designer Gérald Genta and an Audemars Piguet icon since 1972. The Perpetual Calendar and the Moonphase are both well balanced in the 41mm case size. The Perpetual mechanism is well balanced on the dial and is highly legible, while the fresh blue dial is a fashion statement. The movement in this watch is the Cal. 5134, which is an improved version of its predecessor, Cal. 2120. The power reserve is 40 hours.
