Launched by Audemars Piguet in 1989, the dual-time complication was created for the frequent traveller for whom it would be useful to have two time-zones to consult at once. Created in the early 1990s, this Dual Time reference 25685 is one of the earliest pieces to house this complication and is usually found in yellow gold. This piece is then particularly unusual and desirable, as it is encased in platinum.
Despite the restrained palette of the dial, the layout is slightly unusual, with the power reserve, second time indication, and date sub-dial set equidistant from each other. The watch is powered by the calibre 2129, which is based off the JLC 889.
