Today Audemars Piguet are well known for their large sports watches such as the Royal Oak and Royal Oak Offshore, but in the past have made more dressier watches. The Huitieme blends the elements of sports and dress watches into one model. This rare example is made from tantalum and gold, the grey dial with gold detailing matching perfectly. The 40mm case will have been considered large at the time and feels contemporary to today.
