This particular model, reference 1803, dates from around 1968. The watch is crafted entirely from 18-carat yellow gold. The extremely rare \u201Cno lume\u201D lavender-grey double dash dial, in excellent condition, is the centrepiece of this example. The 1803, famous for its magnificent step dial, has been produced in a wide variety of dial, case and bracelet configurations. This version features an extremely rare \u2018no-lume\u2019 (non-luminescent) lavender-grey dial. These dials are already rare and sought-after on 4-digit Datejust models, but they are true unicorns on the Day-Date. This particular piece dates from around 1968 and has retained all its original parts. The dial is in perfect condition. The case has been kept in exceptional condition, making this piece a true collector\u2019s dream. The case is thick and still has very sharp edges. The bezel is unpolished. The watch is sold as a \u201Chead only\u201D on a leather strap with a generic buckle. The watch comes alone without box or papers.
