Das Gehäuse ist im sehr guten Zustand. In der Vergangenheit poliert, zeigt es dennoch sehr gute Proportionen, schöne Kanten und ein gutes mattes Finish. Die Qualität eines 1803 Gehäuses kann man immer sehr gut am Abstand zwischen Lünette und Aufzugskrone erkennen. Besteht hier ein Abstand und man sieht das Gehäuse, wurde Uhr nicht oder wie hier der Fall gering poliert. Tragespuren sind vorhanden und auch etwas Hemdpolitur, aber für eine 55 Jahre alte Uhr ist die Qualität voll überzeugend. Ein Highlight dieser 1803 Day-Date ist das seltene Zifferblatt. Es handelt sich hier um ein sogenanntes „pre buckley“ Zifferblatt. Diese Blätter sind sehr selten und nur bis Anfang der 70iger Jahre in Day-Dates zu finden. Sie charakterisieren sich durch den Druck ihrer römischen Ziffern und der Anordnung dieser. Nicht nur das Blatt an sich, nein auch der Zustand ist ein Highlight. Absolut perfekt! Keinerlei Schwächen, alle Leuchtpunkte perfekt, eines der besten 1803 Blätter die wir anbieten durften. Die Zeiger sind ebenso besonders. Passend zu den Ziffern sind sie in schwarz lackiert. Das gibt es nur bei Blättern mit römischen Indexen. Der Zustand ist auch perfekt, mit stimmiger Patina zum Zifferblatt. Die Lünette ist noch gut scharf mit passenden Tragespuren zum Gehäuse. Unsere Uhrmachermeisterin hat das Werk vor kurzem vollständig revisioniert. Daher läuft die Uhr wunderbar und ist ready für die nächsten Jahre am Arm.
